Connect AlphaPrime
to Claude.
Add AlphaPrime to Claude, then ask for a backtest in plain words. Free members can run free backtests; if AlphaPrime is on your computer, Claude can also work with it there.
What you can do
Free backtests
With a free member account, describe a strategy idea in plain words and Claude runs it as a backtest and shows you the result numbers. It can only backtest: it cannot see or change anything on your computer.
Work with AlphaPrime on your computer
If AlphaPrime is on your computer, Claude can list your strategies, show performance and check progress. Everything is calculated on your computer.
You stay in control
Anything that starts, stops, deletes or overwrites something waits for your Confirm. Claude cannot press it for you.
Connect in four steps

Add the connector
In Claude, add AlphaPrime with the address above.

Sign in
Claude opens the AlphaPrime member page. Sign in with your member account. No account yet? Create one with your email there.

Choose and allow
Free members see “Allow Claude to run free backtests with AlphaPrime”. If AlphaPrime is paired to your computer, pick the computer you want Claude to work with. Then press Allow.

Back in Claude, ask in plain words. Claude shows what it is doing as it goes.
Free members
- Claude can run backtests only. It cannot see or change anything on your computer.
- We keep only your member ID, when you ran it, the market and timeframe, and whether it worked — for 30 days. The strategy rules and the result numbers are not stored, and we never receive your conversation.
- Coverage: 17 futures markets (equity indexes ES, NQ, YM, RTY; energy CL, NG; metals GC, SI, HG; rates ZB, ZN; currencies 6E, 6J, 6B; agriculture ZC, ZS, ZW) on 5-, 15-, 30- and 60-minute and daily bars, with data from September 2018 to the latest, updated on the 2nd of each month.
- Each member can run up to 20 free backtests a day and 3 a minute.

With AlphaPrime on your computer
- Open AlphaPrime, then Settings ▸ Connect Claude, and turn on Phone control. It is off until you switch it on.
- When you press Allow, choose the computer Claude should work with. Several computers? Turn on Phone control on each one.
- Keep AlphaPrime open. If the computer is off or AlphaPrime is closed, Claude answers “computer is offline”; nothing waits in a queue.
What to ask
- Backtest a 20/50 moving-average crossover on ES, daily bars, for the last ten years.
- List my strategies and show the top 3 by profit factor.
- How is my current run going?
- Show the equity curve of my second-ranked strategy.
- Which of my strategies did best last year?
Where you press Confirm
When a request would start, stop, delete or overwrite something, Claude gives you a confirmation link instead of doing it. Open it: the page lists exactly what will happen and has a Confirm button. You can also confirm in the AlphaPrime window. Nothing runs until you press Confirm.
Disconnect any time
- In Claude, remove the AlphaPrime connector.
- In AlphaPrime, turn off Phone control — the connection ends immediately.
- In the member center, remove the computer — the connection ends immediately.
Privacy
What passes through the connection, what is stored, for how long, and how tokens are revoked are set out in the privacy policy.
Common questions
Claude says the computer is offline.
Open AlphaPrime on that computer and check that Phone control is on in Settings ▸ Connect Claude.
Do I have to pay to use free backtests?
No. Sign in with a free member account.
I want to connect again.
Connections last 30 days. After that, Claude asks you to sign in and press Allow again.
